Superbike Maintenance in Pakistan: The Service Schedule Every Owner Should Follow

Manufacturers write service schedules for European conditions. Pakistani dust, heat and traffic are harder on a bike, so our workshop recommends the following adjusted intervals.
Every 500 km or every week
- Clean and lubricate the chain. Dust turns chain lube into grinding paste, so wipe before re-applying.
- Check tyre pressure cold. Heat raises pressure quickly in summer.
- Look at coolant and brake-fluid levels.
Every 3,000–4,000 km
- Engine oil and filter. Use a fully synthetic 10W-40 or the viscosity your manual specifies. Cheap oil is the most common cause of clutch slip and cam wear we see.
- Clean the air filter; replace it every second oil change if you ride on dusty roads.
Every 10,000–12,000 km
- Spark plugs, brake fluid flush and throttle-body sync.
- Inspect brake pads, wheel bearings and head-stock bearings.
- Fork oil change if the suspension feels harsh or dives excessively.
Every 24,000 km (or as per manual)
- Valve clearance check. Essential on Ducati desmodromic engines and still important on Japanese inline-fours.
- Coolant replacement and radiator flush. Blocked radiator fins from mud and bugs cause overheating in summer traffic.
Storing your bike in summer
If a bike sits for weeks, keep the battery on a smart tender, fill the tank to prevent condensation, and cover it in a ventilated space.
